How enquiries from this site work

Lewes Sash Windows is a website, not an installer. It explains planning and windows for Lewes and passes enquiries to one installer who surveys and quotes in its own name.

What happens to your enquiry

1. You send the form, call 01273 115145 or email [email protected].
2. Your details go to a window and door installer registered with FENSA, a competent person scheme for replacement windows and doors in England.
3. The installer contacts you, usually within a working day, to arrange a survey at the house.
4. At the survey they go through the planning position with you, measure every opening and look at sills, lintels and reveals.
5. They send a written quote in their own name. If consent is needed, they can prepare the drawings; you or your agent apply, and nothing is ordered until consent is granted.

Why FENSA matters

Replacement windows must meet building regulations. A FENSA-registered installer can certify the work itself and register it, so you receive a certificate without a separate building control application. Keep it: a buyer's solicitor will ask for it when you sell. FENSA registration does not cover listed building consent or planning permission, which are separate.

Who you contract with

Your contract, guarantee and payment are with the installer named on the quote, not with this website. Check the quote, the guarantee terms and any deposit protection before you sign.
